What you want to know before entrusting us with a search.

How does Cernio differ from a search firm?

The dominant model in search firms judges on the CV, so on the past, presents three profiles sorted according to the consultant's judgement, without any prior measurement of potential, and charges a percentage of the gross annual salary: most often 15 to 20% on the market.

Cernio measures before presenting: the background, the expectations, the potential of each person. You receive every profile that passes the fit threshold set for your search, ranked, at a fixed price shown on the profile card: from €500 to €6,000 per profile, depending on the seniority of the role and how rare the profile is.

How does Cernio differ from a job board?

A job board sends you back a pile of CVs, and it is up to you to make something of it. On average, a published role attracts seventy-three applications, of which three reach an interview (Recruiting Benchmarks 2025, 89 million applications analysed across 95 countries). The sorting is yours, and it is paid for in hours.

You pay for the posting with no guarantee on what it brings back: at best a CV, never the certainty that it fits. At Cernio, you only pay on a person whose background, expectations and potential are compatible with your search, and who has confirmed their interest. No pile to sort, no interview for nothing.

How is fit calculated?

An interview shows how a person presents themselves. Not how you will work together. We do not guess: we measure.

Fit is read on three axes. The CV, for what the person has done. The expectations, for what they are looking for: package, mobility, working arrangements. The potential, for what they can bring: personality, drivers, way of thinking. All three are measured before any presentation, and artificial intelligence contributes to it, as a tool.

We cross this reading with your search, including what not to expect from the person. The result is expressed in levels. The decision stays human: yours, and the person's.

When do I pay?

The profile you consult before any payment already contains the essentials: the professional background, the full reading of the potential, the expectations, the price. Everything, except what identifies the person: their name, their contact details, their school, the precise detail of their background.

Once you are a client, you pay when two conditions are met: the person has confirmed their interest in your role, and you confirm that you want those elements. Not before. Consulting profiles and their prices is free.

And there is no other route: before this double agreement, the identity and contact details are accessible to nobody, at any price. That is what protects both sides.

How long does it take to receive a selection?

If compatible candidates are already registered in the base, the selection is immediate. And we only present a person if they are compatible with your search: never to fill a list.

If the profile is not there, you can activate Premium on quotation: a few weeks, depending on the complexity of the brief. Always a flat fee, never a percentage.

How long does the person have to answer?

Seven days on their side, seven on yours to unlock the full profile: two weeks at most between the approach and the first contact. After that, the answer is treated as negative and the profile leaves your active selection. The profile card stays available if you want to come back later.

This pace is not one more constraint, it is the heart of the system. A recruitment now takes forty days on average and calls for five to six interviews (State of Hiring 2025, 5,649 companies, 8 million applications). At Cernio, the measure is done before you open the selection: that is what makes two weeks possible where the market takes six.

What happens if the person declines?

You pay nothing. The person can decline without justifying themselves, it is one of the rules of the system, and their refusal costs you nothing. They leave your active selection, and you move on to the next profiles.

And so much the better: we only want to present you with people genuinely interested in your search.

What if the person is already being approached by others?

Each person receives only five offers at a time, so that they can deal with them properly rather than endure them. If the one you are interested in already has their five places taken, you do not wait in the dark: you place an option on their profile and you are told as soon as a place frees up.

The wait is bounded. Each offer has seven days to be settled, so a place frees up within a week at the latest.

What if the base does not hold the right profile?

Cernio offers a Premium option on quotation covering the full search, measurement of potential included, up to the first contact. Here too, we only present a person if they are compatible.

Always a transparent flat fee shown before we start, never a percentage of salary. For equivalent performance, the price stays several times below that of a traditional search firm.

Does my role brief stay confidential?

Your brief is handled by the Cernio team. With you, we build a company profile: size, sector, location, context. That profile is what candidates see when you decide to approach them. Your company name is revealed only when they accept, and after your payment.

And Cernio never puts a company in contact with one of its own employees.

Where does Cernio stand on the AI Act and non-discrimination?

What matters to us: finding the person most in tune with your search, your team and your company plan, whatever their origin, their gender or their age.

The mechanics follow. No name, no photo, no age, no gender appears in the selection you see: fit is calculated and presented without those data. The person is identified only once they have confirmed their interest in your role.

Mechanics designed with the European AI Act and the GDPR in view. And above all: what lets you recruit the best person, without the slightest bias.

Where is the data stored?

All data, yours and the candidates', stays hosted in Europe and processed in accordance with the GDPR. And no identity is passed on without the explicit agreement of the person.

What guarantee is there in case of a bad hire?

Cernio equips your decision without taking it. A person's performance depends on integration, management, business context: factors outside recruitment that nobody can promise without lying.

What we change is the material you decide on. A search firm has you bet heavily on a profile you know little about. Cernio gives you, for a fraction of the price, the background, the expectations and the measured potential of each person, before the first interview.

Our commitments are concrete. You only pay for the full profile once the person has confirmed their interest and you confirm that you want to approach them. And if the selection yields no profile you keep after your interviews, you can switch to Premium: full search, support up to the first contact.

What about internal mobility?

Cernio is centred on external recruitment. For internal mobility, we can make a dedicated platform available to you, built around your needs. Get in touch.

What you want to know before creating your profile.

Can my current employer see my profile?

No. Your profile is visible without your name, without your contact details, and without the name of any company you have worked for, neither the current one nor the previous ones. A company looking at you sees neither who you are nor where you come from.

And the rule goes further: Cernio never sends you an offer coming from your current employer. It works both ways, no company is ever offered one of its own employees.

Your identity travels only when you give your agreement, offer by offer.

Do I have to take the analysis?

The analysis is what makes you visible other than through your CV. Three short modules, online, measuring your personality, what motivates you and your way of thinking. It is what lets Cernio see where you would really have your place, and send you offers that suit you, not only those that stick to what you have already done.

So it is required, and that is deliberate: only complete profiles are visible to companies. Without it, all that is left is your CV, which is what everyone already sees.

It is free, and you automatically get access to your report. It says how you work, what sets you in motion, what wears you down, the settings where you are at your best. Few people have ever read that about themselves. For the report alone, these few minutes are worth the time you give them, whether offers follow or none at all.

What exactly do companies see before I confirm my interest?

Your professional background, your expectations, and the reading of your potential: your personality, what motivates you, your way of thinking. Enough to see whether you would get along.

Never your name, your photo, your age, your gender, your contact details, your school or the names of your employers. The company discovers you on what you are and what you are looking for, not on what it could form an idea about in advance. That is what lets both sides choose well.

These elements go out only after your agreement, and only to the company whose offer you have accepted.

Does it cost me anything?

Nothing, at any point. Registration, the analysis, the report, the offers: all of it is free for you, and will stay that way.

The model holds in one sentence: a company only reaches your full profile once you have given your agreement, and it costs that company less than a traditional recruitment for far more information.

Can I turn down an offer without it counting against me?

Yes, and without justifying yourself. Declining changes nothing about your visibility to other companies, nor about how your profile appears to them.

Will I be flooded with offers?

No. Your anonymised profile stays visible to every company whose search matches you, and a company can only approach you if the fit is genuinely there. But you receive five offers in parallel at most. As long as those five places are taken, no new one reaches you.

This pause never lasts more than seven days, the time you have to decide on each offer. After that it expires and the place frees up. A company that cannot approach you because your five places are taken can place an option and will be told as soon as one frees up. You see nothing of that wait: you never receive more than five offers at a time.

This pace is deliberate. Studies indicate that more than four applications in ten never reach their end*, and a traditional recruitment stretches over weeks. Here all the work is done upstream: when a company approaches you, it already knows that you fit, and everything can move fast if you want to go further.

How long do registration and the analysis take?

Registration and the form, a few minutes. The analysis, three modules of five to ten minutes, to be done whenever you like and in several sittings if you prefer.

After that, all that is left is to wait for offers. You can of course update your CV whenever you want.

How do I put my profile on standby or delete it?

Standby is set in one click, for three, six or twelve months. Your profile becomes invisible to companies, your data is kept, and you reactivate when you decide to.

Deletion is another matter, and it is final: the account and the data are genuinely erased, not simply hidden. The button is in your space, and at the foot of every message we send you.

Who has access to my data, and for how long?

Your data is kept for twenty-four months, renewable, hosted in Europe and processed in accordance with the GDPR.

Access is held by the Cernio team, and by the companies whose offer you have accepted, for what you opened to them. Nobody else. Your data is neither sold nor passed on.
